The world's finest fiddle music will be on display at Fiddle 2010, in Edinburgh Assembly Rooms, this November.
The Grand Concert on Saturday 13 November (7.30 pm) features Martin Hayes and Denis Cahill, probably the finest fiddle / guitar duo in traditional music, as well as Danish virtuoso, Harald Haugard, with his trio, and singer Helene Blum, a truly world-class line-up. The concert opens with up-and-coming Twelfth Day.
The Fiddle Festival opens with Heat the Hoose cabaret on Friday 12 November (8.00 pm). Topping the bill this year are Shooglenifty, the perfect band to get the excitement going, the hall jumping, and the chandeliers tinkling. Also featuring Gabe McVarish and Friends.
The full programme of recitals, workshops, youth gaitherin', ceilidhs, talks, late events, and more, will be announced in the next two weeks.
