New Venues Announced
As the Assembly Rooms, the long standing home of the Fiddle Festival, closed down for refurbishment at the end of 2011 the festival was on the lookout for a new venue. The Queen's Hall with the King's Hall across the road and South Hall at Pollock Halls nearby looks like an excellent new venue for Fiddle 2011. The Queen's Hall will host the main concerts as well as the afternoon recitals, some workshops, a bar and the Festival Club. The King's Hall will have room for stalls, workshops and a cafe. South Hall will be the venue for ceilidhs on Friday and Saturday night in association with Edinburgh Ceilidhs.
