2011 BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the year, fiddle player Kristan Harvey has just graduated from the RSAMD in Glasgow with a BMus honours degree.  Having performed at festivals throughout Scotland and further afield, she is currently enjoying playing  with new and upcoming band The Sanna as well as furthering her solo ambitions with pianist Harris Playfair.  Over the next year, Kristan is looking forward to performing at events such as BBC Proms in the Park, Blas Festival and BBC ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards, amongst many others.  Kristan is joined on piano by Megan Henderson.  The duo ensure a lively and dynamic sound having performed together as band members in The Sanna as well as participating in other projects across Scotland over the last few years.

Alasdair Fraser (fiddle) and Natalie Haas (cello)

Scottish fiddler Alasdair Fraser's dynamic fiddling and deep understanding of Scotland's music has created international demand for his concerts. Alasdair is a major force behind the resurgence of traditional Scottish fiddling. He has represented Scotland through performances sponsored by the British Council and has been awarded touring support by the California Arts Council. Alasdair has made guest appearances with groups as diverse as Los Angeles Master Chorale and The Chieftains, and as featured soloist along with Itzhak Perlman at New York's Lincoln Center. His film credits include The Last of the Mohicans, Titanic, and Disney's Treasure Planet. Alasdair's critically acclaimed albums include the Indie Award-winning "Dawn Dance" and most recently, "Legacy of the Scottish Fiddle, Volume One", on which Fraser and pianist Paul Machlis pay tribute to Scotland's master fiddle composers.
