Tyde Heather Gessey (fiddle/vocals), Seth Tinsley (guitar/vocals), Touted by BBC Radio 2’s Mike Harding as “The best young band I’ve heard in years,” it’s the mixture of raw energy, prodigious musical ability and clever, fresh arrangements that make Tyde something different. They play blazing tunes on fiddle, accordion and driving rhythmic guitar and demonstrate a unity of playing rarely seen on the live music scene. As Finalists in the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Awards, their mesmerising performances of dynamic, fresh and quite brilliantly played sets captured the hearts of the live and broadcast audience. With music that draws on influences from every corner of the British Isles and beyond, they deliver modern, punchy, danceable tunes, carefully arranged songs and intricate, emotional slow sets “These young musicians have created something very special….Brilliant head turning musicianship.” - Shire Folk “Instrumental adventurousness pitches them into Lau territory” - MoJo |

Duncan Chisholm (fiddle), Tony Byrne (guitar) Taught by the great Donald Riddell, Duncan Chisholm has performed his music in the concert halls and arenas of Europe and America to critical raptures. Few can match Duncan’s expressive feel for a Highland air. Well-known as a founder member of Wolfstone, Duncan also enjoys expressing himself through his solo playing. Duncan’s award winning third solo recording, “Farrar” and his most recent album “Canaich,” comprise parts 1 and 2 of a trilogy of albums called The Strathglass Trilogy. This body of work is inspired by the Highland landscapes populated by Duncan's ancestors. A prolific composer, Duncan is currently writing the soundtrack to a BBC documentary. Duncan will be accompanied by Dublin’s Tony Byrne on guitar. “If there were an instrumental counterpart to the phone-book, though, Chisholm could likely perform it, and have his audience similarly in the palm of his hand, such is the intense though soft-spoken lyricism and vitality of his playing.” - The Herald Review |
