Workshops should be booked in advance
Workshops are generally aimed at intermediate players with some experience of playing by ear.
Places are allocated on a first-come first-served basis, and only two workshops may be booked initially.
Any spare places will be made available from 9.30am on the day.
Please note that in the interests of participants, spectators are not allowed into workshops.
A1 10:00am - 11:30am, King's Hall, Lower Hall Duncan Chisholm is best known for the soft-spoken lyricism of his playing. Come and learn the techniques involved in playing a slow air from the master. |

A2 10:00am - 11:30am, Queen's Hall, Tunnell Room A graduate of the Juilliard School in New York City, Natalie Haas started playing the cello at age nine.She teaches privately, in workshop settings, at various fiddle camps, and at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. |

A3 12:00pm - 1:30pm, King's Hall, Lower Hall A student of Dr Tom Anderson MBE, Catriona Macdonald is a proud bearer of one of the world's great fiddle traditions, that of the Shetland Isles. |

A4 12:00pm - 1:30pm, Queen's Hall, Hope Scott Room Isla has taught numerous beginners fiddle classes around her home town of Edinburgh, and enjoys making the instrument accessible to and enjoyable by all. Come along and learn some simple tunes suitable for playing in sessions.

A5 2:00pm - 3:30pm King's Hall, Lower Hall Alasdair has been a major force behind the resurgence of traditional Scottish fiddling, inspiring legions of listeners and learners through his recordings, annual fiddle courses and concerts. |

King's Hall, Back Room Megan started her dancing career Highland Dancing under the instruction of Jane Douglas. From there the interest progressed into the Cape Breton style of step dancing, undertaking workshops with the great Frank McConnell, along with a great deal of self teaching. |
