The Scots Fiddle Festival Ltd

Originally started in 1996, Fiddle 2015 continues to be run by the Scots Fiddle Festival Ltd, whose aim is to promote and sustain traditional fiddle music so that it can hold its place in the culture of Scotland and the world.  Our all-volunteer committee spends the whole year organising the festival and is helped, at the weekend itself, by a further army of enthusiastic volunteers.  Huge thanks to all of them!

Introducing Maggie
We are excited to introduce Maggie Wilson, who is volunteering for us for a year through Project Scotland before she goes off to study a degree in traditional music. Maggie is a passionate young fiddle player from the Stow, in the Scottish Borders. She has played traditional music for many years, starting off in the Small Hall Band, and is now one half of fiddle duo ‘Rebecca and Maggie’. Over the year, Maggie will be keeping a blog about what she's up to while working with us, facts about the festival and the musicians involved.
