Fiddles have always been at the heart of the Bellas' sound, with many well-known players passing through the ranks over the band's thirty year history, including Mairi Campbell, Derek Hoy, Sarah-Jane Summers, and Annawendy Stevenson. The current line-up of fiddlers Sarah Hoy, Sarah McFadyen and Jenny Gardner continues the Bella tradition of a swingy, string-based sound underpinned by the acoustic guitar of Dave Francis and the acoustic bass of John Young. The band is delighted to be back at the Fiddle Festival with a great selection of tunes and dances. The band's dance repertoire includes many fun, lesser-known dances expertly talked through by caller, Dave Francis.
