Celine Donoghue

Celine, a graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS), has performed and tutored extensively throughout Scotland and the world. Under the tutelage of esteemed fiddle players Iain Fraser, Pete Clark, Aonghas Grant and Brian McNeill, Celine has developed her own style of fiddling, encapsulating her Scottish and Irish heritage.

Currently, Celine is a regular tutor at RCS, Glasgow Folk Music Workshop and Celtic Connections Festival Education Programme. In addition to instrumental tuition, Celine teaches general musicianship at the RCS Primary Instrumental Programme and delivers weekly musicianship sessions for National Youth Choir of Scotland and Beatroute Arts.

Celine, also enjoys performing regularly with singer/songwriter Neil Sturgeon, Scotland’s premier rock ceilidh outfit Ceilidhdonia and the legendary John Carmichael Ceilidh Band.

In addition to her Sunday Showcase, Celine will be hosting the following workshop:

Beginner Scottish Tunes (Youth) - Learn some fun Scottish session tunes with a focus on ornamentation and bowing.
