Arranging and Accompanying (Intermediate): Creating arrangements for multiple fiddles, exploring ways to accompany other instruments on the fiddle.
Emerging from the vibrant traditional music scene of Glasgow, Lussa is an upcoming 4-piece folk band. Creating fresh, spirited arrangements of both original and traditional tunes, their infectious energy and joyful sound have captivated audiences around Scotland and abroad. After their outstanding debut on the 2024 Celtic Connections Danny Kyle Open Stage, Lussa returned in 2025 as finalists of the Hands Up for Trad: Battle of the Folk Bands, and in 2026 alongside The Ross Miller Bandin the Strathclyde Suite. Lussa released their highly anticipated debut singles and music video for Lussa Reels and McMillan’s in 2025, and shortly after were shortlisted for Up-and-Coming Artist of the Year at the Scottish Trad Awards. The band features Naomi Priestnall (fiddle), Elizabet McConnell (fiddle), Bailey McCoo (Piano), and Eneko Lane (guitar/banjo).
